Simmaron Research invites you to help put North Tahoe back to work through the implementation and execution of an approved [BA1] COVID-19 screening protocol. Read on to learn how YOU can support Simmaron’s effort to restore our community’s most vital workers to their posts.
The Simmaron Research team has partnered with Coppe Laboratories in Waukesha, WI in order to locally implement and execute a two-part COVID-19 screening protocol.
The protocol includes both a nasal/saliva swab and serum/antibody blood test to determine whether an individual is:
Virus naïve (having not contracted COVID-19)
Presently infected and infectious
Recovered from the virus and likely to have protective immunity
Simmaron Research is collaborating with Sierra Internal Medicine
The Simmaron Research team in collaboration with Sierra Internal Medicine is uniquely positioned and equipped to conduct the above testing protocol for individuals living in the North Tahoe region, an area for which significant COVID-19 screening is not currently supported. Our task is to intelligently and quickly begin the testing process in order to begin mitigating the negative impact of the current “social distancing” mandates. The sooner our community has access to COVID-19 screening, the sooner we might restore relative normalcy.
Simmaron Research is a 501(c)(3) foundation successfully doing research in the area of post-infectious and immune disease. While our passion for our ongoing research (and now additionally this critical task) is ever-growing, we seek the support of generous donors in making it all possible.

Supplies for these tests are in high demand across the nation and our team is proud to use what we have already secured in the service of our local community. Additionally, we are reassigning highly qualified staff to carry out the protocol while adhering to the most recent guidelines for preserving their safety as well as the safety of those who seek to be screened.
